About Me
- Name: Alan
- Location: Grand Junction, Colorado, United States
I am a watercolor artist and a sculptor and my wife April and I live and work most of the time in Western Colorado. My main interest is primarily the people that we have come to know and love through our travels both here in America and abroad. I hope to communicate through my gift of art the realities of the helpless and the hopeless in the world. It is difficult to paint while I am in other countries. I photograph extensively when in other countries and I paint when I am at home. I enjoy painting “plein aire” when it is possible but, for instance in Africa we have found ourselves “up to our armpits in children” whenever we are in public. There are simply too many who are curious about what I might be doing. I do remote exhibitions of the art and enjoy teaching watercolor workshops and I teach regularly at my studio. Please visit the testimonials page for the response of my students.
